Mayawati - 5 crore garland

I would like to pay homage to the humility of Mayawati who very "generously" consented to be adorned by a garland made of 50,000 currency notes of 1,000 rupees totaling to a paltry sum of 5 crores. After all that she has done for the state of UP and their poor people, this is what she gets. An uproar regarding the garlands worth. Now insensitive. I urge Indians to read the accomplishments, for "betterment" of the people of UP, below and give her the credit due to her, and totally deserved.
  1. Erecting statues worth 2000 crores. Beautification of the state making it pleasing to the eye. What a noble deed.
  2. Eminent domain - usurping land from 9,000 farmers is a feat par excellence for someone with such humble background
  3. Launching welfare schemes worth 7,000 crores all on self welfare. After all, charity begins at home and god helps those who help themselves. What a showcase of character and leadership trait. Leading by example.
  4. Last but not the least, embarking on selling the truly priceless Taj and planning to reate a shopping corridor behind the heritage monument. What a vision.

And people create a furore over a meagre 5 crores. Hmmmpfffff........
